News - Tipik shows that science really is a girl thing!
Tipik is delighted to announce the launch of ‘Women in Research and Innovation’, a new campaign of DG Research and Innovation, on 21 June in the European Parliament. Tipik is responsible for promotion, media relations, online presence and the organisation of activities for this campaign. The first phase of the campaign will run under the slogan ‘Science: It’s a girl thing’ for the next six months.
This is a pan-European campaign, aimed at girls aged 13-18, with a special focus in five focus countries: Austria, Germany, Netherlands, Italy and Poland. It will encourage girls to develop an interest in science, nurture their confidence and challenge stereotypes around science, and show them that science can be a great opportunity for their future.
The launch day will include a conference in the European Parliament, light refreshments and a myriad of science, music and dance activities on the Esplanade outside the Parliament. One thing not to be missed is the shooting of a new music and dance video, ‘Chain Reaction’, filmed by Tipik Multimedia and starring girls from across Brussels and beyond!
Following the launch in Brussels, a mobile roadshow will roll into cities in each of the five focus countries, bringing music and dance, and offering fun, on-the-spot scientific activities demonstrating the connection between science and music, cosmetics and more. It will involve role models who can transmit their passion for science to girls.
