News - Tipik at the crossroads… of Europe!
In June a team from Tipik was in the city of Pavia in Italy for reasons of tourism – so to speak! They had the responsibility of organizing, for the European Commission, the first edition of what will be an annual event aimed to promote cultural tourism among stakeholders and businesses, destination managers, national and local authorities, as part of the European new initiative “Crossroads of Europe – Cultural and Religious Routes".
Commissioned by the Directorate-General Enterprise and Industry, Tipik took charge of:
the event organisation (both scheduling and logistics) in Pavia, including booking venues, welcoming participants, catering, production of conference kits and assembly of thematic stands;
the development of an interactive map with the different roads in Europe and their most striking stops;
proofreading (in French) and translation in English, German and Italian of the content of the map (information and description).
The city of Pavia was chosen for this first edition because it is located at the crossroads of five cultural pilgrimage routes.
