News - Reducing waste: Tipik shows the way forward to Brussels businesses
Tipik is one of 11 companies in Brussels that succeeded in reducing waste by an impressive average of 22% last year.
Through a pilot project organised by Agoria, Tipik, along with 10 others, managed to reduce the amount of waste paper and cardboard by an average of 22% and reduce the volume of unsorted waste by an average of 14%. We also succeeded implementing better organised waste streams.
The project, which may now be expanded, is part of "Waste Network Brussels", is organised by Brussels Environment and BECI with the aim of reducing the 50,000 tonnes of paper and cardboard and the 27,000 tonnes of small unsorted waste produced by offices in Brussels.
Agoria believe that a 30% reduction compared to the initial volume is feasible if we continue to implement measures to further reduce waste and improve waste management.
